"We met Mike after a drive-by on a lot they were building on. We saw the plans and connected with Double Door right away as a team we could work with. Mike listened to every request and change what we wanted to make. They are very professional, and advised us on choices that didn't fiscally make sense or wouldn't work with our home. They didn't over commit on planning and build time. The quality is great and they often times found and corrected craftsmanship flaws, plus brought it to our attention so we would be aware - this shows true pride in their work! "In the fall of 2013 my wife and I decided to contract Double Door Builders to build us a Prairie Style home in the Vickery Place area of Dallas. Michael was very helpful and flexible in assisting us to set up what we wanted in a new home with their architect. We had specific needs and most homeowners do and they were receptive to what we wanted in a new home as we began the process. As home construction began, their level of communication of how we would be proceeding was exceptional. They provided us with a ͞Smartsheet͟ account that we could access on line and by a mobile app that allowed us to see construction details, deadlines, photos of construction and a comments section for questions. Our previous experience with building a home was not a pleasant one due to a lack of information and communication which kept us guessing of when tasks would be completed. As we approached our closing date, Michael made specific scheduling changes to insure that we met our anticipated close date. This was important due to lease arrangements and obligations to our landlord. Besides the quality of workmanship which included stain grade doors, 100 year old hardwood floors, selection of appliances, countertops, etc., they would both would lend their building experiences to provide us with valuable ideas during the building process. Building a home can be a stressful experience, but we found the process to be informative and pleasurable. "
